Chapter 3 Maintenance
When the figure shown on the left appears, open the
COVER
panel cover.
When the screen shown on the left is displayed, remove
the drain bottle and discard the discharged fluid.
Before you detach the drain bottle, be sure to wait for the screen to display
"EMPTY DRAIN BOTTLE."
Failing to follow this procedure may cause discharged fluid to flow out of the tube
and spill onto your hands or the floor and cause a stain.
Never place discharged fluid and ink near open flame.
Doing so may cause a fire.
To store discharged fluid temporarily, place it in the included drain bottle
or in a durable sealed container such as a metal can or polyethylene tank,
and cap the container tightly.
Any spillage or vapor leakage may cause a fire, odor, or physical distress.
Pull out in the direction of the arrow.
