Using Telnet to Access the Avaya Multiservice Switch's Super-
visor
Avaya P550R/P580/P880/P882 Multiservice Switch ATM Uplink CLI Reference Guide, Version 2.0
To access the ATM Uplink CLI, you must first access the Avaya
Multiservice Swith's Supervisor console. There are two ways to
access the Supervisor console:
Using a serial interface
Using telnet
To access the CLI using a serial interface (such as HyperTerminal):
1. Set up a new connection within the serial interface. Table 1-5
describes how the serial interface should be configured.

2. Connect with the host as directed by the instructions in the
specific serial interface software you are using.
3. Enter your user name and password at the respective
prompts.
