Configuration
Set the method by which the LEC joins an ELAN.
* Note: You must disable a LEC each time you make a change to
the configuration. After you make configuration
changes, you must enable the LEC in order for the
changes to take effect.
set lec <lecID> join-method {les | lecs}

This example sets LEC 2 to join method LECS.
ATM(configure)# set lec 2 disable
LEC 2 has been disabled
ATM(configure)# set lec 2 join-method lecs
Join Method LECS has been set for LEC 2
ATM(configure)# set lec 2 enable
LEC 2 has been enabled
Definition
The LEC identifier. The range of values is:
Minimum = 1, Maximum = 128.
Determines whether the LEC connects
through the LECS, or bypasses the
configuration phase and goes directly to a
configured LES.
