DESCRIPTION
Some LH vehicles are equipped with a rear seat
child tether anchor system. This system is designed
to provide a spot in which to anchor small children
(seats) in the rear seat. There are three child tether
brackets per vehicle and can be found on the rear
shelf panel above the rear seat back (Fig. 1). Refer to
the vehicle Owner Manual for more information.

REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
FRONT SEAT BELT RETRACTOR
CAUTION: Inspect the condition of the shoulder
belt and lap belt. Replace any belt that is cut,
frayed, torn, or damaged in any way. Also, replace
the shoulder belt if the retractor is either damaged
or inoperative.
REMOVAL
(1) If necessary, move the front seat(s) all the way
forward for access.
(2) Remove turning loop adjuster knob.
(3) Detach the turning loop cover from the upper
anchor bolt.
(4) Remove upper anchor bolt (Fig. 2).
(5) Remove B-pillar upper trim.
(6) Remove lower anchor bolt.
(7) Remove B-pillar lower trim panel.
(8) Remove the retractor anchor bolt.
(9) Remove lower B-pillar trim.
(10) Disconnect retractor wire harness connector.
(11) Remove retractor from vehicle.
INSTALLATION
(1) Position the retractor in the vehicle.
(2) Connect retractor wire harness connector.
(3) Install lower B-pillar trim.
(4) Install the retractor anchor bolt. Tighten to 60
N·m (44 ft. lbs.) torque.
(5) Route the belt webbing through the access slots
in B-pillar upper trim.
(6) Install B-pillar upper trim.
(7) Install the upper anchor bolt. Tighten to 60
N·m (44 ft. lbs.) torque.
(8) Close turning loop covers.
(9) Install turning loop adjuster knob.
