Using the Online Help

Configuring the
Settings for Scan to
E-mail
The following explains the settings required to use
the Scan to E-mail feature.
Setting the E-mail Parameters
Set the e-mail parameters using CentreWare
Internet Services. The parameters can be set
under [Protocol Settings] > [E-mail] on the
[Properties] tab.
Important
• The scanner cannot receive e-mail.
Set the parameters of the following setting items:
• Machine E-mail Address
• SMTP Server Address
• SMTP Port Number
• E-mail Send Authentication
• SMTP Login User
• SMTP Login Password
• POP3 Server Address
• POP3 Port Number
• POP3 User Name
• POP3 User Password
• Maximum E-mail Size
• Data Size to Split Send

Setting the DNS Parameters
If setting an FQDN-format host name in [SMTP
Server Address] or [POP3 Server Address] on the
[E-mail] page, you must set the parameters for
DNS.
The DNS parameters can be set using
CentreWare Internet Services under [Protocol
Settings] > [TCP/IP] on the [Properties] tab.
If using DNS, set the parameters for the following
setting items:
• Get DNS Server Address
• DNS Server Address
• DNS Domain Name
