Unlocking the Carriage Lock

By default, the scanner comes with the carriage
locked in place. After moving the scanner to its
installation location, unlock the carriage lock.
DocuScan C4250
Unlock the carriage lock located on the left side of
the scanner by sliding it to the unlock position (to
the rear direction).
DocuScan C3200 A
The carriage lock is located on the right underside
of the scanner below the lock mark. Unlock the
carriage lock by sliding it to the unlock position (to
the rear direction).

On the Scanner
When connecting the power cord to the scanner,
be sure to follow the precautions stated in "For
Power & Earth Connection" (P.11).
Note
• This product does not use electricity when the power
is switched off even if the power cord is plugged in.
1. Plug the power cord into the power cord
connector located on the rear side of the
scanner.
2. Plug the earth wire on the other end of the
power code into the power outlet, and then
plug in the power plug.
3. Press the power switch to the <|> position.
The scanner is switched on and the touch
panel displays the default screen.
You are now ready to use the Scan to Media
feature.
