4. Optional devices

4.1

MPB programming box

The MPB is a hand-held device used to perform all robot operations, including manual
operations, program input and editing, teaching and parameter settings.

4.2

Expansion I/O board

The expansion I/O board used in the robot controller has 24 general-purpose input points
and 16 general-purpose output points. The RCX142 holds a maximum of 4 expansion I/O
boards, and the RCX142-T holds a maximum of 2 expansion I/O boards.
4.3

Regenerative unit

A regenerative unit may be required depending on the robot type or application.
