Self-Diagnosis
The ignition should be switched on when carry-
ing out this step (⇒ page 01-3, Connecting ve-
hicle system tester and selecting control unit for
engine electronics).
K Readout in display:
HELP
- Press the keys 0 and 3 for the function „Fi-
nal control diagnosis“.
Q
K Readout in display:
- Confirm the entry with the key Q.
K Readout in display:
- Rotate throttle control at the throttle valve
control unit. The injector for cylinder 1 clicks
five times as soon as idling switch opens.
- To move forward to the next injector, press
the key each time (it is also possible to
move forward in the test routine without test-
ing the particular injector).
- Test all the injectors one after the other in
this way.
- If one of the injectors is not actuated (does
not click), test injectors ⇒ page 24-34.
- Press the
K Installation position of solenoid valve 2
K Readout in display:
This solenoid valve (positioned on right in front
of coolant reservoir)
- If the valve is not actuated (does not click),
test solenoid valve for activated charcoal fil-
ter -N80 ⇒ page 24-13.
If the solenoid valve clicks, opens and closes:
- Press the
key.
