Test rocedure
- Connect vehicle system tester V.A.G 1552
and select the engine electronics control unit
with the ”address word” 01. Engine must be
idling for this step.

K Readout in display:
- Press keys 0 and 8 for the function ”Read
measured value block” and confirm the en-
try with the key Q.
K Readout in display:
- Press keys 0, 1 and 9 for ”Display group
number 19” and confirm the entry with the
key Q.
K Readout in display:
- Observe the readout in display block 3.
Specification: 1xxx x
- Turn the steering wheel to full lock and ob-
serve the readout in display block 3 (1. digit
from left).
Specification: 0xxx x
- Press the → key.
- Press keys 0 and 6 for the function ”End
output” and confirm the entry with the key Q.
- Switch the ignition off.
