age signal should fluctuate between the ranges
0.0...+0.3 and +0.7...+1.0 V.
Voltage readouts greater than +0.7 V indicate a
rich mixture composition (low level of oxygen in
exhaust).
Voltage readouts of less than +0.3 V indicate a
lean mixture composition (large level of oxygen
in exhaust).
-
If the handling problem occurs before the
lambda control is activated, the lambda con-
trol is then not the cause of the problem.
-
If the handling problem does not occur until
after the lambda control is activated, test
operation of lambda control ⇒ page 24-44.
♦ If the problem is not so severe after the
lambda control is activated, the cause of the
fault (e.g. unmetered air, faulty injector, etc.)
is counteracted by the lambda control being
activated. This can be recognised from read-
ing the lambda learned values.
-
Select Reading measured value block (func-
tion 08) and display group 008. If the speci-
fications are not achieved, rectify fault.
-
In addition, read the measured value blocks
in function 04 (basic setting). If this function
is selected, the activated charcoal filter so-
lenoid valve -N80 is closed.
♦ With display group 099 it is possible to spe-
cifically switch the lambda control off and on.
Press the keys 4 and 8 to switch back and
forward between „Basic setting“ (lambda
control off) and „Read measured value block“
(lambda control on).
