Fuel Formation / Fuel Injection
- Carry out basic setting of the throttle valve
control unit ⇒ page 24-53.
- If it is not possible to start or successfully
complete the basic setting, replace engine
control unit ⇒ page 24-48.
♦ Vehicle system tester V.A.G 1552 with cable
V.A.G 1551/3
♦ Test box V.A.G 1598/22
♦ Hand-held multimeter, e.g. V.A.G 1526 A or
multimeter V.A.G 1715
♦ Adapter cable set V.A.G 1594 A
♦ Current flow diagram
Notes:
♦ If a fault exists at the sender or in the cable
connections, the control unit operates with a
substitute temperature of 19.5 °C.
♦ Refer also to Reading measured value block,
display group 003, display block 4 for the
operational test of the intake air temperature
sender (G42).
♦ Engine cooled down to room temperature
(approx. 20 °C).
Warning!
Select the relevant measuring range before con-
necting the test cables and pay attention to the
test conditions in order to avoid damaging the elec-
tronic components.
K - Unplug the connector -1- from the intake air
temperature sender.
