l No fault in respect of lambda control stored;
rectify any faults and erase fault memory.
The time which elapses until the lambda con-
trol is activated (probe temperature required
about 300 °C) is determined primarily by the
following factors:
♦ Ambient temperature (summer/winter)
♦ Operating conditions after start
♦ Operation of probe heater
If faults occur after a cold start, it is then neces-
sary to check whether the problem occurs be-
fore or only after the lambda control is activated.
Test vehicle under cold start conditions:
- Connect vehicle system tester V.A.G 1552
with cable V.A.G 1551/3 ⇒ page 01-3.
- Select the function Reading measured value
block (function 08) and display group 007
⇒ page 01-51.
