31.4 System File Maintenance Technical Reference

The following section contains additional technical information about the X2002 features
described in this chapter.
FTP Command Line
This section shows some examples of uploading files to the X2002 using FTP commands.
First, understand the filename conventions.
Filename Conventions
Like the firmware upgrade function in the GUI, four types of files can be FTP uploaded to the
X2002 (See
Regardless of which file you want to upload to the X2002, you must first rename it to the
internal firmware file name on the X2002: ZLD-current.
Example FTP Commands
Do the following to upload the firmware and configuration file to the X2002:
1 Rename the file you want to upload to ZLD-current and place it in the directory from
which you launch your FTP session. In our example this is the root directory "C:\".
2 Launch the FTP client on your computer. For example, from the command prompt type
ftp, followed by a space and the IP address of your X2002.
3 Type your username and press [ENTER] when prompted (the default is "admin".
4 Enter your password as requested (the default is "1234").
5 Enter

to the X2002.
7 The X2002 uploads the file and automatically reboots. The FTP session with the X2002
is automatically terminated.
