Copying with Specified Density (Manual Density Adjustment)
You can manually adjust the copy exposure to the most appropriate level for your original.

Place your originals and press the [ ] or [ ]
key.
NOTE
• Move the indicator above the [
to the left to make the exposure lighter, or to the
right to make the exposure darker.

Proceed to make copies in the usual way.
Copying with Automatic Exposure and Image Quality Adjust-
ment (Auto Density Adjustment)
You can adjust exposure quality automatically. If you adjust the image quality, the automatic density
adjustment is canceled and the job is copied at the density set by the image quality adjustment.
NOTE
• The factory setting for this function is Auto [A].
• To change the density using manual density adjustment, press the [A] key.
