NOM – Initialization
based on nominal range
The calibrated sensor allows the effective
valve travel to be set very accurately. During
initialization, the positioner checks whether
the control valve can move through the indi-
cated nominal range (travel or angle) with-
out collision. If this is the case, the indicated
nominal range is adopted with the limits of
travel/angle range start (Code 8) and trav-
el/angle range end (Code 9) as the operat-
ing range.
Note
The maximum possible travel must always be
greater than the nominal travel entered. If
this is not the case, initialization is automati-
