Checking the engine oil level

1. Check the oil level.

Recommended engine oil:
4-stroke motor oil with combination of
the following SAE and API oil classifi-
cation.
API: SE, SF, SG, SH, SJ, or SL
SAE: 5W-30, 10W-30, or 10W-40
TIP:
If the engine oil is below the lower level mark
a, add sufficient oil until the level is between
a and b.

Checking the fuel system

This is a 4-stroke engine. Never use
premixed fuel or 2-stroke outboard motor
oil.
1. Check that the fuel hoses are securely
connected and that the fuel tank is filled
with fuel.
