Self-locking nut t:
23 N·m (2.3 kgf·m, 17.0 ft·lb)
Grease nipple u:
3 N·m (0.3 kgf·m, 2.2 ft·lb)
Adjusting the trim sensor
1. Fully tilt the swivel bracket down.
2. Measure the trim sensor resistance.
Adjust the trim sensor by following steps,
if out of specification.

Trim sensor setting resistance:
Pink (P)–Black (B)
9.0–11.0 Ω at 20 °C (68 °F)
Steering arm, swivel bracket, and clamp brackets

3. Fully tilt the swivel bracket up, and then
support it with the tilt stop lever 1.

4. Loosen the cam screws 2.
5. Adjust the position of the trim sensor 3,
and then tighten the screws 2 to the
specified torque.

Trim sensor cam screw 2:
2 N·m (0.2 kgf·m, 1.5 ft·lb)
TIP:
9
To increase the resistance, turn the trim
sensor in direction a.

To decrease the resistance, turn the trim
sensor in direction b.
6. Fully tilt the swivel bracket down, and
then measure the trim sensor resistance
again.
