8. Fill the lower unit with gear oil to the cor-
rect level.
Recommended gear oil:
Hypoid gear oil
API: GL-4
SAE: 90
Gear oil quantity:
0.43 L (0.45 US qt, 0.38 Imp qt)
9. Install the propeller 9 and propeller nut
0. Place a block of wood between the
anti-cavitation plate and propeller to keep
the propeller from turning, and then
tighten the propeller nut to the specified
torque.

Propeller nut 0:
35 N·m (3.5 kgf·m, 25.8 ft·lb)
TIP:
If the grooves in the propeller nut 0 do not
align with the cotter pin hole, tighten the pro-
peller nut until they are aligned.
