Crankshaft journal bearing installation

95.400–96.000 mm

7. Set the crankshaft w, and oil seal e and
r into the cylinder block. Apply engine
oil to the inner oil seal, crankshaft journal
bearings, and crankpin bearing.

8. Install the connecting rod cap r to the
connecting rod, and then tighten the con-
necting rod bolts t to the specified
torques in 2 stages.
Connecting rod bolt t:
1st: 6 N·m (0.6 kgf·m, 4.4 ft·lb)
2nd: 17 N·m (1.7 kgf·m, 12.5 ft·lb)
TIP:
Align the alignment marks s on the connect-
ing rod.
9. Apply sealant to the mating surface of
the crankcase y.

TIP:
Do not get any sealant on the crankshaft
journal bearings.
