5. Connect the digital circuit tester between
PTT relay terminals b and c.
6. Connect the positive battery lead to the
Sky blue (Sb) lead, and the negative bat-
tery lead to the Black (B) lead.
7. Check for continuity between terminals
b and c. Replace if there is no continu-
ity.

Checking the PTT switch
1. Check the PTT switch for continuity.
Replace if out of specification.

Checking the trim sensor
1. Fully tilt the outboard motor up, and then
measure the trim sensor resistance.
Replace if out of specification.

Pink (P)–Black (B)
168.3–288.3 Ω at 20 °C (68 °F)
at fully tilt up position
