Trim cylinder end screw b:
80 N·m (8.0 kgf·m, 59.0 ft·lb)
Assembling the tilt cylinder
1. Install the free piston 1 and a new O-
ring 2 into the trim cylinder 3, and then
install the snap ring 4.

2. Install the trim cylinder base 5, springs
6, and plate 7 into the trim cylinder 3,
and then install the circlip 8.

3. Hold the PTT unit 9 in a vise using alu-
minum plates a on both sides.

4. Add the recommended fluid to the first
level at the bottom of tilt cylinder.

5. Install the balls 0 into the trim cylinder
3, and then install the trim cylinder 3
into the tilt cylinder q.

Recommended PTT fluid: ATF Dexron 2
TIP:
Apply grease to the balls to prevent them
from falling out of the cylinder.
6. Install the tilt cylinder end screw w, and
then tighten it to the specified torque.

Tilt cylinder end screw w:
90 N·m (9.0 kgf·m, 66.4 ft·lb)
7. Fully extend the PTT ram, and then add
sufficient recommended fluid to the cor-
rect level.
Recommended PTT fluid: ATF Dexron 2
8. Install a new O-ring r and the reservoir
cap t.
