Troubleshooting the outboard motor
Troubleshooting procedure
Perform the troubleshooting as described in the following tables.
TIP:
9 Make sure that fresh fuel of the specified type has been used.
9
Make sure that the battery is fully charged.
9 Make sure to check that the couplers, connectors, and battery terminals are securely connected.
9 When checking the input voltage of a part, the coupler or connector must be disconnected. How-
ever, be careful not to short-circuit the wiring harness.
Troubleshooting table format
Troubleshooting consists of the following 4 items.
Symptom 1: Specific trouble conditions
Symptom 2: Trouble conditions of an area or individual part
Cause 1: The content considered as the trouble causes of symptom 2.
Cause 2: The content considered as the trouble causes of cause 1.
