Getting to Know Your Printer
Explanation
When you select On, the printer prints out an error sheet when an error occurs in the PS3
mode or when the PDF file you tried to print is not a supported version.
Settings (default in bold):
Off, On
When On is selected, the print quality is not reduced even with insufficient memory. In that
case, Memory Overflow is displayed and the printing is stopped. When Off is selected,
the print quality is reduced with insufficient memory. In that case, Image Optimum is
displayed and the printing is continued.
Settings (default in bold):
Off, On
Specifies the data format. Select On for the Binary data and select Off for the ASCII data.
Note:
Binary can only be used with network connection. To use the Binary data, make sure
your application supports Binary data and that SEND CTRL-D Before Each Job and
SEND CTRL-D After Each Job are set to No. When this setting is set to On, you cannot
use TBCP (Tagged binary communication protocol) in the printer driver settings.
Settings (default in bold):
Off, On
When On is selected, the text file is converted to a PostScript file when printing. This setting
is available only when PS3 is selected in the Emulation Menu.
Settings (default in bold):
Off, On
Specifies the paper size when you send the PDF file directory from a computer or some
other device. If Auto is selected, the paper size is determined based on the size of the first
page that is printed.

Auto, A3, A4, A5, A6, B4, B5, LT, HLT, LGL, GLT, GLG, B, EXE, F4, MON, C10, DL, C5, C6, IB5
Explanation
Selects the font.
Settings (default in bold):
Courier, Prestige, Roman, Sans serif, Roman T, Orator S, Sans H, Script, OCR A, OCR B
Selects the pitch (the horizontal spacing) of the font in fixed pitch, measured in cpi
(characters per inch). You can also choose proportional spacing.
Settings (default in bold):
10cpi, 12cpi, 15cpi, Prop.
