Entering Access Codes Entering Access Codes The Access Code feature prevents unauthorized use of the copier by limiting copier access to those persons who know an assigned Access Code. The Access Code feature monitors copier usage by department, project, or persons, and tracks the number of copies made with each Access Code.

Selecting Copy Quantities Selecting Copy Quantities Your copier automatically selects a copy quantity of one. • If you desire more than one copy, enter the number from the Keypad. • The maximum copy quantity that you can enter is 999. To make more than one copy of your original, enter the number of copies you desire using the Keypad.
Selecting Copy Paper Size Selecting Copy Paper Size There are four methods available to you for selecting the copy paper size. • APS, or Automatic Paper Selection is the default setting. The copier automatically detects the size of the original and selects the same size copy paper. APS mode is only for 100% copying.

You need not to move the originals on the glass. Two letter size originals placed side by side on the Exposure Glass can be copied onto two separate sheets of paper.

Using the Finisher Using the Finisher The Finisher key functions only when an optional Finisher is installed on the copier. The Finisher functions available are: • Making Non-Sorted Copies: All copies exit to the top finisher bin. • Making Collated Copy Sets: The first page of each collated set is off-set on the Finisher Tray.

Adding Toner Adding Toner When the toner supply in the toner hopper becomes low, the ADD TONER symbol flashes and the message: “Add Toner Press HELP” appears on the Touch Screen. This machine has two levels of warnings. The first is a low toner condition which occurs when there is enough toner for approximately 1000 copies remaining.

Adding Toner Hold the replacement Toner Bottle in both hands. Slowly turn the bottle upside down and back five times. This loosens the toner in the bottle. Carefully place the edge of the Toner Bottle into the slot along the rear side of the Toner Hopper.
