this location, you must route the wire into the vehicle's interior through a factory-installed rubber grommet or you
must install a grommet to protect the wire from damage or short circuit.
Speed Sensor (GAL): TrafficPro must also receive a signal from the vehicle to determine the speed at which the
vehicle is travelling. This signal must be a OHz - 4kHz square wave pulse of less than 1.W when the vehicle is at
rest and from 5V-16V when the vehicle is moving.
If your vehicle's radio is equipped with a speed-sensitive volume control (the volume is automatically adjusted up or
down depending on speed) the GAL wire may be located in the radio's power connector.
If your vehicle is not equipped with speed-sensitive volume control, the GAL wire will be located in the electronic
speedometer's connector. For the location and color of the GAL wire located at the speedometer, please call the
TrafficPro Hotline.
Connect a wire to the vehicle's speed sensor at either of the locations specified above and connect the other end of
the wire to pin 1, socket A (grey/brown) of TrafficPro.

If your vehicle is not equipped with an electronic speedometer or speed-sensitive volume control, or if your
vehicle uses an inductive sensor to send speed information to the speedometer, TrafficPro may not be com-
patible with your vehicle. If you suspect such incompatibility, please call the TrafficPro Hotline for confirma-
tion.
