Multiline Calls

Display of Line Information in Call Control
This section describes how the multiline Call Control
provides information about the current status of other
lines. This should enable users to toggle between vari-
ous Call Controls and to obtain an overview of impor-
tant operating states of lines that are currently not visi-
ble.
This is enabled by the display of lines that have the fol-
lowing states:
Active
Ringing
Held by own phone
Call Waiting mode
Held by another phone
In the lower part of Call Control a line information
box appears; it displays the line with the most impor-
tant status in accordance with the following priorities:
Active and signalling (for second incoming call) – dis-
played as "Ringing" or "Call waiting".
Active
Ringing (incoming call, hold ringback or hold ring-
back for pickup group), in the order established by
the rules for selecting the preferred terminal line
(see
page 152).
On Hold (manual hold) on your own telephone in the
order last on hold, displayed first
On Hold (manual hold) on a different telephone in
the order last on hold, displayed first.
Advisory tone for
– incoming call
– on hold too long (Hold Ringback)
– on hold too long in pickup group (Hold Ringback)
in the order defined by the rules for selecting the
preferred terminal line (see

are only shown for those lines for which the user
has activated Line informationin Line settings.
