Caution
For secure installations, surface-mounted cables should be protected
by plastic or metal cable covers.
Note
Connect power either from a 24 V AC source or a CAT5 Ethernet connector
(PoE). It is recommended that you do not connect both power sources at the
same time.

Connecting to a Network with a CAT5 Ethernet Connector

The main video connection for your camera is made through the Ethernet network
connection. Connect the CAT5 Ethernet connector (see
network using an Ethernet (10Base T, 100Base TX) cable.
Note
You can connect your camera to a network or connect it directly to a PC or
laptop using a crossover cable between the camera and the PC or laptop.
