About Software
Upgrades
In order to improve and en-
hance the user experience
TANDBERG issues new and
updated software for your
video system on a regular
basis. Updates come in two
flavours: Main Releases and
Service Releases.
Main Releases contain new
features and are available
for customers with service
contracts only.
However, Service Releases
providing minor corrections
and function enhancements
are available to everyone.
Want to Back up Your

You may want to back up
your local settings (the
local phone book) before
you start to upgrade the
software. How to take an

Use your internet browser to access
http://ftp.tandberg.net/pub/software/endpoints/personal_series/150/
Your browser will then show the below file structure:
Available software versions
The Release Key and
other relevant information
is then displayed as
shown in this example.

Select the software version to install and download it to your computer.

If this is a Service Relase no Release Key will be needed. If this is a Main
Release a Release Key will have been given to you as a part of the Service
Contract.
Cannot find your key?
time you install a Service Release since you purchased your 150MXP, you will
need to go on the web to let the TANDBERG key generator calculate a Release
Key for you.
The reason why this applies the first time you install a Service Release is
that the unit will not have a Release Key stored until you perform the first
upgrade. The Release Key will be retained after this first upgrade, so that the
next time you do an upgrade (this applies to Service Releases only!) the key
is already in the unit and you won't need to enter it.

Use your internet browser to access
https://webrk.tandberg.net/RK/rksn.jsp
Do as told, key in or paste in the serial number of your TANDBERG unit,
then select the software version to be installed and click OK to have the
Release Key generated.
