ISASSEMBLY
•
Remove the engine unit as described in section M,
subsection 2;

•
Remove the alternator as described in section M,
subsection 7;
•
Take right piston to TDC and mark the flywheel (ref.
"M") and gear (ref. "L") positions relating to the
reference "N" on engine crankcase.
•
Apply locking tool "A" (part no. 12 91 18 01) to engine
flywheel.
•
Loosen the six screws "B" fixing clutch to flywheel.
•
Loosen the six screws "C" and remove the flywheel-
clutch "D" unit.
•
Working on the bench, remove the six screws "B" and
separate the gear "E", the clutch plate "F", the inner
plate "G", the Belleville washer "H" and the flywheel
"I".
N.B.
Screws "C" must be replaced with new ones
upon the following reassembly, due to the high
load and stresses they are subject to; (apply
thread locking product, Loctite, medium
strength, to the screws and tighten to torques
of Nm 40 ÷ 42).
