5-10 Serial ATA Connections
Serial ATA Ports
There are ten Serial_ATA ports on the motherboard. I-SATA ports 0/1 support
SATA 3.0 connections. I-SATA 2-5 from the PCH chip, and S-SATA 0/1/2/3 from
the SCU chip are SATA 2.0 connectors. These ports provide serial-link signal
connections, which are faster than the connections of Parallel ATA. See the table
on the right for pin defi nitions.
