Section 2: Installing the Horizontal Stabilizer

• Rubbing alcohol
Step 1
Slide the stab into the slot in the fuselage, with the
leading edge pushed forward in the slot. Center the
stab in the opening by measuring the distance from
the fuselage to each tip. The stab is aligned when
both measurements are identical.

Step 2
Check the distance from each stab tip to each wing
tip. These measurements must also be equal.

Step 3
The last alignment step is making sure the wing and
stabilizer are parallel. If they are not, lightly sand the
opening in the fuselage for the stab until the stab
rests parallel to the wing.
