EMOVING THE CYLINDER
- Carefully remove the cylinder.
- Remove the split rings and the wrist pin.
CAUTION
ALWAYS REPLACE THE WRIST PIN SPLIT RINGS WITH NEW
ONES

NSPECTING THE SMALL END
NSPECTING THE SMALL END
- Using an inside micrometer, measure the small end dia-
meter
N.B.
IF THE SMALL END DIAMETER EXCEEDS THE MAXIMUM ALLO-
WABLE VALUE, OR IF IT SHOWS SIGNS OF WEAR OR OVER-
HEATING, PROCEED TO REPLACE THE CRANKSHAFT AS DES-
CRIBED IN THE CHAPTER "CRANKCASE AND CRANKSHAFT".
