Indicators on the PC
The indicators are on the front of the casing. Which indicators are available on your PC depends
on the configuration level you have selected.
1 = CD-ROM indicator
2 = Hard disk indicator
3 = Power-on indicator

SmartCard reader indicator
The indicator lights up if a SmartCard is inserted.
The indicator flashes if no SmartCard is inserted.

Hard disk indicator
The indicator lights up when the hard disk drive of the PC is accessed.

Power-on indicator

The indicator lights green:
The PC is on.

The indicator lights up orange:
The PC is ready-to-operate or in energy-saving mode. After being switched on with thepower
button, the PC switches on or returns to the state it was in before the energy-saving mode.
CAUTION
In the energy-saving mode the PC may not be disconnected from the mains supply, as this may
otherwise result in data loss.

The indicator does not light up:
The PC is disconnected from the power supply or is ready for operation. If the PC is ready-to-
operate, the PC can be enabled with the ON/OFF switch.

CD-ROM indicator
The indicator lights up when the CD-ROM drive is accessed. You may only remove the CD when
the indicator is unlit.

Floppy disk indicator
The indicator lights up when the floppy disk drive of the PC is accessed. You may only remove
the floppy disk when the indicator is unlit.
