FEATURES AND CONTROLS
Lift the bow higher out of the water.
Generally increase top speed.
Increase clearance over submerged objects or a shallow bottom.
In excess can cause boat porpoising (bouncing) or propeller ventilation.
Cause engine overheating if any cooling water intake holes are above the water line.
TILTING TO FULL UP POSITION
Tilt At Helm
NOTE: The trim/tilt switch will remain active for 15 minutes after the ignition key switch has been turned
off.
1.
If the ignition key switch has been turned off for over 15 minutes, turn it to the "ON" position.
2.
Press the trim/tilt switch to the up position. The outboard will tilt up until the switch is released or
it reaches its maximum tilt position.
Tilt At Engine
The cowl mounted auxiliary tilt switch can be used to tilt the outboard with the key switch in the "OFF"
position.

Tilt Support Lever

1.
Rotate the tilt support lever down.
2.
Lower outboard until tilt support bracket rests on the pedestal.
3.
Disengage the tilt support bracket, by raising the outboard up and rotating the tilt support lever
up. Lower the outboard.

MANUAL TILTING
If the outboard cannot be tilted using the power trim/tilt switch, the outboard can be manually tilted.
