NOTE: The engine will not start unless the lanyard is set to the "RUN" position.

Set the lanyard stop switch to the "RUN" position. Refer to General Information ‑ Lanyard Stop
Switch.

Shift outboard to neutral (N) position.

Turn the ignition key to "START" position and release the key. The electronic starting system will
automatically crank the engine for starting. If the engine fails to start, the engine will stop cranking.
Return the key to "START" position and try again.
7.
The "ACTIVE" light located on the console remote control key pad will become illuminated once
the engine is started and communicating with the remote control.
