Stardance® Direct Vent/Natural Vent Gas Heater
DANGER
A barrier designed to reduce the risk of burns from
the hot viewing glass is provided with this
appliance and shall be installed.
DANGER
The Stardance is operated with the front plate in place with
the doors open or closed. The barrier screen is designed
to attach over the doors, or over the glass frame with the
doors open. See prior page for installation instructions.
To open the front doors, pull forward to separate the mag-
netic catch.
CAUTION: DO NOT TOUCH DOORS WHEN

Operation

Pilot and Burner Inspection
Each time you light your heater check that the pilot flame
and burner flame patterns are as shown in Figure 57. If
flame patterns are incorrect, turn the heater off. Contact
your dealer or a qualified gas technician for assistance.
Do not operate the heater until the pilot flame is correct.
Follow regular maintenance procedures as described on
Page 41.
Flame & Temperature Adjustment
For stoves equipped with HI/LO valves, flame adjustment
is accomplished by rotating the HI/LO adjustment knob lo-
cated near the center of the gas control valve. (Figure 56)

It is important to periodically perform a visual check of the
pilot and the burner flames. Compare them to Figure 57. If
any of the flames appear abnormal, call a service person.
