Setting the Date and Time

A date and time file can be created that will timestamp any video or snapshots
recorded afterwards.
To set the date and time:
1.
Connect the microSD card to a Windows PC as described in steps 1 - 3
of the previous procedure.
2.
In the root directory of the microSD card, create a text file (.txt) entitled
time.txt.
To create a new text file in Windows, right-click open space on the root direc-
tory, then select New, then Text Document. Then type the title time.txt.
(Any .zip files present on a new microSD card can be deleted.)
3.
Open the text file, and type the date and time in the following format:
YYYY/MM/dd hh:MM:ss
NOTE - The SV-1600 uses a 24-hour format for time (for example, 3:00 pm
would be recorded as "15:00").
4.
Save and close the text document.
The next time video or snapshots are recorded, they will be timestampped.
The time.txt file will not appear the next time you retrieve video.
