Simple Instruction Set (SIS™) Control
Host-to-SME 100 Communications
SIS commands consist of one or more characters per field. No special characters are
required to begin or end a command sequence. When a command is valid, the SME 100
executes the command and sends a response to the host device. All responses from the
SME 100 to the host end with a carriage return and a line feed (CR/LF =
the end of the response character string. A string is one or more characters.
SIS commands are sent to the SME 100 using the following programs.

SME 100-initiated Messages
When a local event such as a front panel selection or adjustment takes place, the SME 100
responds by sending a message to the host. No response is required from the host. The
initial message sent by the SME 100 is listed here.

The SME 100 initiates the copyright message when powered on or when connection via
Internet protocol (TCP/IP) is established. Vx.xx is the firmware version number.

prompt appears if a password has been set on the SME 100 for the

admin and user profiles. Enter the necessary password followed by a carriage
return.

prompt is repeated when an incorrect password is entered.
