9-15. Adjusting the trimming of the upper thread

The upper thread should be trimmed at the correct time after sewing is completed.

The lower thread and gimp should be trimmed at the correct time after the feed bracket has returned to the home position.
Thread trimming operation can be checked in steps while manual mode is active. (Refer to "Using manual mode" on
page 49.)

1. The mechanism is adjusted so that the lower thread and gimp are separated from each other and spread by the
thread handler q.
2. The lower thread is held between thread nipper M w and thread nipper D e on the plate spring.

3. Adjust so that the edge of the fixed knife y and the index mark i on the movable knife u are aligned when the
