3-16. Installing the air tubes

Connect the air tube from the compressor to the air unit underneath the work table.

3-16-1. Adjusting the air pressure
Set the air pressure for the knife pressure adjustment regulator e to the lowest pressure at which the knife can still cut
the material. Set the standard air pressure for the main regulator q to 0.5 MPa.

To tighten
1. Turn the nut q at the end of the air tube, and then
connect the tube to the valve w.

2. Open the air cock e on the compressor.
2. Check that there is no air leaking from the valve
2. connection.
3. Open the cock e by turning it in the direction of the
3. arrow.

3. The meter needle will move clockwise.
4. Adjust the air pressure by following the procedure on

1. Gently lift the knob w of the main regulator q and turn
1. it in the direction of the arrow in the illustration.
The pressure will increase when the knob w is turned

regulator e and turn it in the direction of the arrow in

regulator e is adjusted to 0.3 MPa. Be careful not to

1. Close the cock t. (The needle will remain at the high-
1. pressure position.)
2. Turn the knob screw y in the direction of the arrow in
2. the illustration to loosen it. Make sure that you turn it in
2. the correct direction.
2. The air will escape from the reservoir and the needle
2. will drop.
3. Tighten the knob screw y.
4. To reduce the air pressure, gently lift knob w or knob
r and turn it counterclockwise.

5. Open the cock t. Air will enter the reservoir and the
