CHANGING HYDRAULIC OIL AND FILTER

The procedure for changing the hydraulic oil and filter is as follows;
Hydraulic Oil Tank Capacity:
Complete System Capacity:
Remove the protection plate fro the underside of the hydraulic oil tank.
NOTE: Removal of the plate allows access to both the hydraulic tank drain plug and the fuel tank drain plug -
identify the correct plug before continuing to the next step.
Remove drain plug and release the oil into a suitable container.
When the oil has drained completely, replace drain plug and refit protection plate.
DO NOT MIX HYDRAULIC OILS
Some specific properties of or detergents contained in hydraulic oil and synthetic hydraulic oil vary and when
mixed will react and reduce the effectiveness of both oils.
Risks of mixing different hydraulic fluids:
Corrosion or Yellow Metal Etching
Negative Foaming (Cavitation)
Incompatibility (Excessive Wear, Sludge, Gumming, Etc.)
Alamo Industrial will only guarantee that our products are free from defects if Panolin HLP Synthetic E 46'
Hydraulic Oil (PN TR477142) or Panolin HLP Synthetic 46 hydraulic oil are used in the hydraulic system. The
use of another hydraulic oil, or a mixture of the approved Panolin HLP and another oil may severely affect the
reliability of the TRAXX RF hydraulic system.
