Installing The Aileron Servos - Seagull Models DECATHLON ARTF Assembly Manual

DECATHLON
Apply masking tape at the wing join to hold the
wing halves together securely. Allow the epoxy
to cure before installing the aileron servos.

INSTALLING THE AILERON SERVOS.

2pcs of 12" extension servos.
Small weight.
Thread.
1) Remove servo tray from the each
panel of wing. Install servo and servo arm. See
pictures below.

2) Install the rubber grommets and brass
collets onto the aileron servo. Test fit the servo
into the aileron servo mount.
Because the size of servos differ, you
may need to adjust the size of the
precut opening in the mount. The notch
in the sides of the mount allow the servo
lead to pass through.
Small weight.
Thread.
Use a small weight (Weighted fuel pick-up)
and thread to feed the servo connector
through the wing as shown.
Attach the string to one end of servo lead and
carefully thread it though the wing. Once you
have thread the lead throught the wing, remove
the string and repeat for the other servo lead.
Use masking tape to secure the leads to the
wing and prevent them from falling back into
the wing.
