Troubleshooting When Using the Copy Function
Problem
White lines appear.
Copies are blank.

A moiré pattern is pro-
duced on copies.
Wrinkles appear on the
copy.

Cause
When D is blinking, ton-
er is beginning to run
out.
The original is not set
correctly.
Your original has a dot
pattern image or many
lines.
The paper is damp.
Solution
Add toner. See p.64 "Adding Toner".
When using the exposure glass, face the
originals down. See "Placing Originals",
Copy/Document Server Reference.
Place the original on the exposure glass
at a slight angle.
• Replace the paper with new paper.
• To prevent paper absorbing mois-
ture, turn on the anti-humidity heat-
er switch. See "Guide to
Components", About This Machine.
