Pressure Adjusting Lever
Foot pressure can be adjusted with the pressure adjusting
lever located inside the face cover.
The pressure adjusting lever should be set at "3" for regular
sewing.
Reduce the pressure to "2" for applique, cut work, drawn
work, basting and embroidery.
Set the pressure to "1" when sewing chiffon, lace, organdy
and other fine fabrics.
Velour and knits with a lot of stretch may also require a "1"
setting.
Open the face cover and set the lever at the desired
number.

Dropping and Raising the Feed Dog
The drop feed lever is located underneath the free arm bed
on the back side of the machine.
q Drop feed lever
• To drop the feed dog, push the lever in the direction of the
arrow w, as illustrated.

• To raise the feed dog, push the lever in the direction of the
arrow e, as illustrated, and turn the hand wheel toward
you. The feed dog must be up for normal sewing.
