NOTE: The expansion-card riser 1 and the x16 link on the riser 2 slot can be used only when both
the processors are installed.
Steps
1.
Unpack the expansion card and prepare it for installation.
For instructions, see the documentation accompanying the card.
2.
Locate the expansion-card connector on the system board/riser.
3.
Open the expansion-card latch and remove the filler bracket.
4.
Holding the card by its edges, position the card so that the card-edge connector aligns with the
expansion-card connector.
5.
Insert the card-edge connector firmly into the expansion-card connector until the card is fully
seated.
6.
Slide the expansion-card latch into position.
