4-6 Procedure for Removing BD/DVD from Faulty Camcorder

4-6-1 Items to be checked

Connect the AC adapter/charger or battery (power supply) to the camcorder, and set the power
switch to "OFF": Make sure that the ACCESS indicator turns off, and then press the DISC EJECT
button.
Even with a normal product, the BD/DVD cannot be removed while the ACCESS indicator is lit or
blinking, or the HDD indicator is lit.
Information:
Be sure to connect the AC adapter/charger or charged battery pack (power supply) before pressing
the DISC EJECT button.
The DISC EJECT button will not work unless a power supply is connected.

4-6-2 How to remove BD/DVD

If the BD/DVD cannot be removed after performing "4-6-1 Items to be checked", remove it using the
procedure in this section.
Cautions
Laser light striking the eye may cause your eyesight to be lost: For safety, be sure to remove any power
supply (AC adapter/charger, battery, etc.) from the camcorder before starting work.

numbers of procedure, and letters in brackets
[ ] show the types of screw.
1) Open the shoe cover (a) in the direction of
the arrow.
2) Insert a fi ne-tipped fl at-bladed screwdriver
(d) into the groove in EJ cover (b), and
remove the EJ cover in the direction of the
arrow: Be very careful not to scratch the EJ
cover or R case with screwdriver.
3) Use a fi ne-tipped fl at-bladed screwdriver,
etc. to move the lock slider (c) in the direc-
tion of the arrow, and then open the disc
cover.
4) After removing the BD/DVD, close the disc
cover.
