5) After approx. 20 seconds, the updating start screen (Fig. 4-4-2) will appear, and the fi rmware
programs will be automatically updated thereafter. During updating, screens showing that desig-
nated fi rmware program is being updated will appear, followed by screen showing that updating
is complete.
Not all fi rmware programs need updating every time: If the version of the data on DVD-RAM/SD
memory card for updating is identical to that of fi rmware stored in camcorder, the same version
screen will appear.
6) When all required updating is complete, the screen for verifying the version of updated fi rmware
will appear, and the updated fi rmware will be displayed in red.
Make sure that the fi rmware has been updated to agree with the details specifi ed by the technical
bulletin, etc.
7) To complete updating, set the power switch to "OFF", and then remove the DVD-RAM/SD memory
card for updating.
