(13) BD Drive Unit

1) Disconnect the fl at cable.
2) Remove the screw [A].
3) Remove the two screws [B], and then remove the BD drive unit (a).
Note:
The BD drive unit is a precision component: Take great care when handling it. Do not subject the
BD drive unit to any impact: Doing so could cause a fault.
Caution during disassembly and reassembly:
1) Be sure to paste the heat sink rubber (c): Neglecting this could cause a fault
2) When replacing the BD drive unit paste the graphite sheet (d) and the gasket (e) to the specifi ed
position.
3) The graphite sheet cannot be reused: Purchase new one for reassembly.
