Cause/condition for
message to appear
Appears if the record button was pressed
when the Movie/Still switch was set to
"Still".
Appears if the number of scenes has
exceeded the limit during selection of
scenes. [Refer to *1 on page 4-11.]
Appears when the camcorder cannot en-
ter the SLEEP mode because it is set to
the recording pause status for any of the
following reasons:
• No BD/DVD or SD memory card is
loaded.
• The loaded BD/DVD or SD memory
card has a little free space.
• The HDD or BD/DVD is write-
protected.
Appears if the PHOTO button was
pressed when the Movie/Still switch was
set to "Movie".
Appears when the remaining number of
recordable stills has reached less than
10 during recording.
Appears when the card cannot be
recognized because its terminals are
dirty.
Also appears when data other than
photos is recorded on card.
Appears when a card initialized on PC,
etc., or a card whose initialization was
interrupted before, is loaded.
Appears when a damaged card is
initialized.
Appears when an error occurred during
editing of still fi les.
Appears when the recording capacity of
card has reached the limit during record-
ing.
Appears when a card whose remaining
recording capacity is small, and on which
no still can be recorded, is loaded.
Appears if the recordable capacity on
card has reached the limit while Disc
Navigation is being operated.
Appears when an unformatted card or a
card formatted on PC was loaded.
Appears if a card unusable on
DZ-BD7HA/BD70A was inserted.

Troubleshooting
When recording a movie, set the Mov-
ie/Still switch to "Movie" and record
it on a BD/DVD or the HDD.
Keep selection of scenes within the
limit.
• Load an SD memory card.
• Replace it with a BD/DVD or SD
memory card that has suffi cient
free space, or remove unnecessary
scenes.
• Release the protection from the
HDD or BD/DVD.
When recording a still, set the Movie/
Still switch to "Still" and record it on
an SD memory card.
Prepare another card, or delete
unnecessary stills.
Use a dry cloth to clean the card
terminals.
Replace the card.
Choose "YES" and designate it to
initialize the card
(deleting all recorded data).
Replace the card.
Set the power switch to "OFF", and
after several seconds, set it to "SD".
Replace the card, or delete
unnecessary stills.
Replace the card, or delete
unnecessary stills.
Replace the card, or delete
unnecessary stills.
Choose "YES" and designate it when
formatting card (deleting all recorded
data).
Insert a card usable on DZ-BD7HA/
BD70A.
