Connection to Data Terminal

Equipment (DTE)

Console Mode
1. Ensure that DIP switch #1 is in the "ON" position.
(Enables Console mode)
2. Set DIP switches #2, #3 and #4 according to wire type
as indicated below:
RS-232
4-wire
(RS-422/485)
2-wire
(RS-485)
3. Prepare TIA/EIA-574 compliant 'cross-over' shielded
cables with DB-9 connectors.
4. Connect the male DB -9 connector at one end of the
cable to the converter's female DB-9 connector.
5. Connect the male or female DB-9 connector at the
other end of the cable to the DTE's male or female DB -9
connector.
6. Once the device is connected, proceed to configure the
media converter by using the on-screen menu.
